He's not selling. Dictionary?

It's a good idea not to post your phone number online, too. Way too many kooks out there. I mean... nobody on this board, of course... really. No offense guys. Just edit out your phone number and you'll be fine.

Good grief, Alex! Are you trying to tell us there is a difference between acquiring and selling? And we on TubeNet are supposed to be able to tell the difference? Gosh! This is getting pretty difficult. Just think of the high IQ this requires.

It seems like detachable upright bells weren't exactly in vogue back when those horns were made. Most schools bought only the recording bells. Today, a good upright bell can cost as much as the whole horn with a recording bell. Ziggy Kanstul will make you about any upright bell you want but it's gonna be expensive.... probably in the range of $1,000. I've acheived good results making new bell tenons and grafting them to suitable cut-down bells from other old horns... but I don't have any experience with the Conn 80J.

If you've searched TubeNet:

New
search.php?mode=results

Old
http://www.chisham.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi?Search=80j

And visited The Conn Loyalist:
http://www.xs4all.nl/~cderksen/

Then you've pretty much covered all the online resources. Welcome to the world of Conn!
