TWENTY-NINTH ANNUAL DALLAS MERRY TUBACHRISTMAS CONCERT

Over 175 area tuba and euphonium players will present the twenty-ninth annual Dallas Merry TUBACHRISTMAS concert on Friday, December 22. The performance will take place at Thanks-Giving Square, corner of Bryan, Ervay, and Pacific Streets, downtown Dallas at 12:00 noon. This year’s conductor will be Barry Montgomery—a longtime Dallas Merry Tubachristmas coordinator. Master of ceremonies will be local media personality Alex Burton.

The concert, free of charge and open to the public, is presented by the D-FW area chapter of the International Tuba and Euphonium Association (I.T.E.A.) and the Harvey Phillips Foundation. Local sponsorship and assistance is provided by the Thanks-Square Foundation, Holze Music,
Mc Kay Music, Mr. E’s Music Company, Music and Arts Centers, and Williamson Music.

TUBACHRISTMAS concerts are performed annually in over 150 cities throughout the United States and Canada. These concerts are presented as a tribute to the late, great William J. Bell who was born on Christmas Day in 1902. “Billâ€
