I wonder why every tuba pic I saw on this site:
http://www.musik-dotzauer.de/
looked a lot like a particular BBb one might find on this site: yamaha.com ?

The photos all look the same, but the 1/4-sized tuba has a 12.5" bell...

I use an older 6/4 Bb 4v Dotzauer. Bell 50 cm, bore 22 mm. Sounds good, but there is enormous much corrosion. :x
Restauration by Dotzauer will costs about 2600 EUR.

Compared to the cost of similar restorations in the USA, that might be a bargain!

I checked out the cerveny.biz web site listed in another thread, and there is a Dotzauer bass trumpet listed.

By the way, the Cerveny CBB 471 featured on that site is a cutie.

So I did: At least, I bought a used Cerveny 701 goldbrass in a good state for 2700 EUR.
But the 701 has a very difficult speech- the Dotzauer 6/4 plays nearly by itself. :)
