my quintet is the only one with an arrangement of Pretty Fly For A White Guy, by the Offspring in the folder. Killer tuba part and a lot of fun.

JD is an excellent arranger. We've been friends for about 6 years and he is one of the most incredible musicians I've ever met. Our time at Phantom Regiment really opened my eyes to a new way of thinking for brass ped.

The Ya Gotta Try is a pretty good arrangement, but I liked a lot of their other stuff better. He's got a good arrangment of Caravan and some good Stevie Wonder and funk tunes.

I would agree with that, but prefer the tune. I have my own arrangements (due for publication some time prior to my retirement, I hope) of a lot of stuff, including Caravan and Autumn Leaves which, since they came out of my head, I prefer to his. But that is pretty normal, I think.

Sounds normal to me. He, in general, is just a good arranger. His tuba parts, well they are okay, but he is a french horn players dream. He's a pretty good classical writer too.
