Mirafone 184 CC case + 2 gig bags for sale

Post by cjk »

I had the bell swapped out on my Mirafone 184. The original cases no longer fit. I also have another 99% new bag that doesn't fit any of the horns I own. I'd rather sell them than keep them in the attic.

One LEATHER Reunion Blues bag for a Mirafone 184 CC, 14.25 x 40 inches, $300. It's the one on the right in the pic below.

One Cordura Rudolf Meinl Bag, $200. The one on the left in the pic below. It fits a Mirafone 184 but is kinda tight length-wise. It was made for a 4/4 F tuba which is not sold in the US much. It will fit a MW 2182 or 182 just fine. I bought it to carry around an old Cerveny Harmonia F tuba (CFB 654-6M I think). It should fit the Cerveny F that Dillon Music sells just fine.

One wood Mirafone 184 CC case, nothing special, a good solid case $200. All the hinges and latches work.

Buyer pays shipping. I'm only willing to ship to the continental US. I can send some more pictures if you'd like, these are kinda washed out.

Cool!
What did you swap on and what difference did you notice?
The sound is rounder and projects better. It can still be gruff, but you can push it futher. It's almost like the love child of a 3/4 Rudolf Meinl CC and a Mirafone 184 CC.

Here are some pictures of it:

I also use the Rudy Meinl with my 184. If you need a super solid bag this is it!
I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.

I still have the Mirafone 184 hard case and the Rudolf Meinl gig bag. I kinda forgot about them in the attic. :)
