I thought I would drop a note to let those of you in the west central Ohio area know that JUNCTION will be playing a free concert at the Encore Theatre in Lima, OH Tuesday evening, February 20th at 7pm.
The Encore is at 991 North Shore Drive which is about three blocks south of Elm Street off S. Collett St. in Lima.
Kelly Biese who is a Wilson Euphonium Artist as well as a member of JUNCTION is currently teaching in Lima and is responsible for our area getting access to this performance. We are lucky to have Kelly in the Lima Area Concert Band in the summer months and after having the opportunity to play in a local tuba quartet with Kelly last summer I can say this should a concert to try to attend if you are anywhere close.

It's a great quartet. I studied with Ms. Brown (as did Kelly) at Bowling Green. She had them in for rehearsal and a mini recital before departing on tour a few years back.muf wrote:Kelly substituted Sharon Huff a few years ago. Tuba players of the group are Stacey Baker and Velvet Brown. Worth going if you are in the "neighborhood!"
If you ever have opportunity to hang out in BG, check out the group's namesake.
