This post is asking if anyone has a list or can give me their two cents on music best played on F Tuba for orchestra, solo, and Quintet.

FWIW, there is wealth of French literature for the tuba (OK-"French" tuba, basically a 6-valve C Euphonium) that is far more suited to F than CC or BBb, like the standard Barat, or Tomasi solos.
In addition, Wagner makes up a substantial portion of the tuba literature and specifies which pieces are for basstuba and contrabasstuba, either by writing it in the music, or by german orchestra tradition. Most were written with the basstuba in mind. . . I'd have to look through the music to figure out which is which.
