The difference seems to be that the valve paddles are slanted, but other than that they look the same.

Give Steve Dillon a call (http://www.dillonmusic.com/). He's not only owner of one of the biggest brass retailers in the U.S., but also a brass history buff (especially with American companies like Conn and King). He buys and sells more vintage instruments than anyone, and might be able to put a fair dollar figure on that horn.

I think you should donate it to me. You could claim it on your taxes!! I'm a non-profit BBb tuba player-wannabe(stuck in a CC tuba world), who is pining for your horn, but needs to sell almost all of the brass in my house to pay off all the other stuff that I haven't paid for yet.
If you CAN'T just straight up GIVE it to me, I'll have to wait until the new owner lets me toot on it, just so he/she can get me to stop asking,"So, can I try your tuba?!"
