yeah, no kidding. chalk that up to my recital being at 3:35 in the afternoon due to some administrative red-tape that couldn't be cut. I'll try and do better next time, lol........thanks Ken!!!

Thanks. Fortunately, growing up in West Texas, country water is about as clean as it gets for me!!!!tubatooter1940 wrote:Nice job, Cale. Purty tuba tootin'. Clean as country water.

Hi -
If anyone's interested, I've just posted two movements from the Grondahl trombone concerto (II and I) on my AcidPlanet site. The recording is from yesterday's performance at Texas Woman's University, and features Anne Woodard on piano.

I've got some other recordings that will go up soon.
Thanks,
Jamie Lipton

Ok, this is something for all to see and hear. Back in December I had the good fortune of subbing in for Gene Pokorny with the CSO on a recording of Miraculous Mandarin with Pierre Boulez conducting.
What you will see is presentation with media and narration as well as the orchestra playing all major excerpts from the piece. This is the CSO's Beyond the Score series. Extremely imformative and fun to have been a part of.
I am not much of a computer guy and know nothing about posting music onto sites like Acidplanet so here is a link to the actual video from the CSO's page.

Hope you enjoy!

my degree required recitals from ithaca are here plus some other junk, including a poorly recorded performance of "rose variations" with the ithaca community band, and a performance of john steven's "manhattan suite" by the unmentionable tuba quartet (disbanded).

keep in mind that i overprogram recitals. and probably over-warm-up for them. i working on it...

Here's some "fiddle farting around" as my dad would put it.
I'll probably put a recital cd on acid planet at some point. But here's a few seconds of me messing around with a laptop with a horrible built in mic and that stupid "sound recorder" program on Windows.
---bill bell's triple tonguing exercise (pg. 7 exercise 2)
---just messing around on the other one, some orchestral chunks, an aria.... funny high range

Nasty recording equipment and 100% goofing off.
Listen to them for a good little laugh!

A video of a trad band I'm in, the Buck Creek Jazz Band, showed up on YouTube. I got a solo after the clarinet player.
