Now don't get me wrong, I personally do have higher standards of neatness, and it's kind of a surprise to see "product" photos taken without some consciousness of the background, but it is my impression that what you're looking at there is fairly common among, for example, young men in their 20's, could be college students or whatever. Not average, but not unusual. Doesn't seem like anything to worry about with respect to the tuba, compared to the prospect of getting it shipped via UPS after an indifferent packing job. Now if someone in the household smokes, that's different - bring on the bulldozer.
