New Baadsvik video on youtube

Post by Oystein Baadsvik »

Live performance of Vittorio Monti's Czardas with Trondheim Soloists string orchestra.
Go here to see the video:

This clip is from Sissel Kyrkjebø's christmas concert in December 2006 where I was invited as the guest artist of the year.
The concert took place at the Brunstad Conference Center in front of an audience of ca 4.500 people. The next day the same concert was held in Oslo Spektrum, the largest indoor concert arena in Norway.

All the best,

Oystein Baadsvik

I don't mean to hi-jack Oystein's thread, but when he played at ITEC in Denver last year I had more people than I could count ask if he had a version of Gabriel's Oboe available with piano accompaniment. I am happy to announce it has now arrived!!

It can be purchased at my site (tt is on my hoempage and will eventually make it on to the Baadsvik page on my site as well):

or directly from Oystein here:

What a great clip on YouTube!

Wishing all well,

Was he playing a Miraphone Firebird or was it another model?

I assume that it's the new Miraphone Eb that he worked with Miraphone to design.

What a performer! I love the sound of his tuba. I might prefer the Miraphone Star Lite eefer to an F tuba for a solo horn or for orchestral purposes, although I likely wouldn't sound as great as Mr. Baadsvik!

One certainly to illustrate how a tuba can really move in the hands of a true professional :)
