On my most recent performance, I played the first part on my customized York, monster EEb tuba. In the past I have played both parts (not at the same time) on CC tubas. Use whatever works for you.

I used my yfb 822 on first,Roger Jones used his 186 miraphone BBb on second.Worked well.I've seen any number of configurations but I think a common one is an f tuba on first and the second with a CC and an F .

I'd be curious to know who has performed the parts to Rite of Spring on French "C" tubas. It is entirely feasible that the part was scored for these instruments, given the setting (Paris, 1912-13) as Stravinsky was writing the work.

The parts also appear idiomatic to the French "C" tuba, with the wide range and tessitura.

I've done it a bunch of times with euph on 1st and F on second. Works great! I seem to remember Philadelphia did it this way years and years ago.
