Almost brand new Berkeley (sp?) bass trombone
chinese yamaha copy
red brass bell
inline valves with Bb/F/Gb/D tuning
nice pro tech style zippered case
light weight horn has quick response and very open valve register.
had it for awhile as a back up horn, did not play it much. (not because it was bad. It actually plays pretty nice)
it would be great for a tuba/bass bone doubler.
$699 obo I will pay the shipping to the lower 48
email me for pix at

This a little off topic; please forgive me. I went to the local music store to play test a Weril 980 euphonium. They weren't dealing Weril any longer because they couldn't get parts. He let me try a Berkeley 4V for a week (3+1 valve configuration). I was very impressed with the sound. I really thought it rivaled the Yamaha 321. The only thing against it was E natural in the bass staff was very flat. I could almost lip it up enough, but not quite. So, in regard to the trombone you are selling, it I'm not surprised at all that it has a decent sound. I've not played the Berkeley trombone, but I would guess it would make a good horn for a doubler at a very affordable price.
