Weril parts

Post by Eric B »

This is for the repairmen and Weril owners. How difficult is it to obtain parts for Weril instruments? I'm considering purchasing the Weril H980S.

Former Weril importer DEG and the current Weril office usually had to order stuff from Brazil when we needed parts, but the wait was usually not too long, often less time than wrangling parts out of Conn-Selmer's parts dept.

I just got the email today - Weril will have a new US importer soon, don't know who. Our Weril sales rep is top notch, so even if we've had a problem on occasion, I'd say their service is very good, and it will be a worthy purchase. That 980 euphonium is a gem in their line. For similar instruments, I also have to recommend the German VMI and the new Indian-made Walter Nirschl, both 3+1 non-comp. All are excellent euphoniums for less cash than the boutique models.

Best,

Steve Ferguson

Funny that you mentioned the valve guides, Bloke...I've noticed a little bit of funky action, seemingly due to the 2nd valve guide, of course it was after the horn was in my car several hours in nearly 100F temperatures.

I'm assuming that's the real problem...

Hi, Steve! Hey, gang, Ferguson is good people to deal with...
