"I'm having fun playing your new F tuba"!!!!!!!!!!
So...It is now it, which means I should have it in a week or 2...its been a long wait, but I will be glad to tell all the juicy details once I get it!!!!

You took the words out of my mouth, Mike. I've heard great things about both, especially the Firebird. I like the price of the 653 though.MikeMason wrote:Has anyone done a side-by-side with one of these and a Firebird?

That sounds both very good and awfully cruel at the same time!

Greg wrote:Fantastic! It's always a real bad sign when a salesman tells you that a tuba is a bad one! Especially if he's selling it to you.pierso20 wrote:About 20 seconds ago I talked to Watt Walters and put in my payment for the CFB. Matt was kind enough to play me some of the horn over the phone!!![]()
It was QUITE in tune...and had a nice sound even over the phone....(from what I could hear) and he was very impressed with it. So....it should be at my home 2 or 3 days!!!
Good thing Matt has established good credibility as a tuba dealer so you really can trust his opinion.
Enjoy that tuba!

Did you custom order the alteri gig bag? From whom (if you don't mind saying)? I'll be putting my Miraphone 188 up for sale here in the next couple weeks, and was going to buy a Unitec case and gig bag for the little Cerveny F. I was wondering who already has the right measurements for the horn so I wouldn't have to go through that. It always makes me nervous - the possibility of not getting the measurements just right.pierso20 wrote:there has been a lot of posts about being able to afford the cases if you get the horn..hahah and I couldn't shell out the additional 500 for the case.![]()
I did however purchase an alteri gig bag that'll be here in 2 weeks or so.

It appears that Cerveny's quality has improved- good for us!! I'm glad that what I've been saying all along about this little horn is true for you as well, Brooke. Post some sound bites and/or pictures when you can. ENJOY!!!pierso20 wrote:It is definetelty worth checking out!! I am very pleased....sitting here with my little horn on my lap and hanging around online as well.
The noted are just so impressive. Everything all the way down comes out NICE NICE NICE!! It goes as low at my CC with no effort.....very good.
