Mercury Season is performing a trip through the Balkans at Georgia Perimeter College (Dunwoody Campus) TODAY Nov 29th (thursday) at 12 Noon.
It should be a fun concert, we are playing a number of Balkan Brass Tunes, some Bartok, Mozart and the world premier of the electric tuba version of "Territories" , a piece for oboe, bassoon, horn, trombone and tuba solo. It's a commentary on the war in the Balkans. The woodwinds and brass make up 2 choirs that clash and the tuba is in the middle and comments on the fighting. It should be fun so long as none of the electronics blow up
and there are 2 improvised sections (woo hoo!).
