NINETEENTH ANNUAL FORT WORTH MERRY TUBACHRISTMAS CONCERT
Over 175 area tuba and euphonium players will present the nineteenth annual Fort Worth Merry TUBACHRISTMAS concert on Friday, December 21. The performance will take place outdoors under the canopy at the north end of the Fort Worth Convention Center (intersection of Main and 9th Streets), downtown Fort Worth at 12:00 noon. This year’s guest conductor will be Miguel Harth-Bedoya, music director and conductor of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. Master of ceremonies will be local media personality Alex Burton.
The concert, free of charge and open to the public, is presented by the D-FW area chapter of the International Tuba and Euphonium Association (I.T.E.A.) and the Harvey Phillips Foundation. Local sponsorship and assistance is provided by Brook Mays Music, Holze Music, Mc Kay Music, Mr. E’s Music Company, Music and Arts Centers, and Williamson Music.
TUBACHRISTMAS concerts are performed annually in over 150 cities throughout the United States and Canada. These concerts are presented as a tribute to the late, great William J. Bell who was born on Christmas Day in 1902. “Billâ€
