Does anyone know if Chuck Daellenbach ever used this CC in the CB quintet? Or ever owned one?

This instrument was very popular in the 1980's after its use in the CB. Shame they stopped making such a good instrument. I've used mine in a quintet setting many times and its a fantastic horn.....the organists that I've played with all love it.

Has anyone played on the used 661 at Baltimore Brass? Surprised its been there this long.

He did, in fact, play that horn. He and I have spoken about it and he bought one back from an old friend of mine that he'd let go a long time ago. He bought my buddy a new YCB-822S to trade. Even with the Yamaha artist deal, he must've really wanted that horn back. Chuck (nor any other Yamaha artist) doesn't get horns for free dispite what may have been said on this board in the past. The 661 is a solid horn. I've played Chuck's and two others. They're very consistent and they have a big sound for a relatively small instrument. It's not hard to get the 5th valve configured for the right hand thumb either if that's what you're used to. Chuck's had an excellent one.
