This may have come arounda couple times, but I am curious to see what people say.

For me, I would have to say Alfred Reed's "Russian Christmas Music" is one of my recent favorites.

I performed the Hindemith Symphony last year and it was a BLAST to play.

I also just performed Music for Prague last night. Also very fun to play, very challenging, and a great piece to listen to.

As a euph player I must say Holst's Second Suite in F, his First Suite is also quite good.

It's been more than a year since I've played Russian Christmas Music, I love it, perhaps this coming holiday season...

Whitacre, Lux Arumque - pretty piece, but I don't love it too much.

Lincolnshire Posy is my ultimate favorite piece.

I also really like Tempered Steel. I don't know who composed it, but it is a really neat piece.

good picks as far as the reed and grainger, two of my favorite pieces, I also like:

Camphouse- Watchman Tell Us of the Night (a newer piece but a great piece)

Milhaude-Suite Francaise (a standard)

and more of a band piece per say but:

I'm loving Reed's "Armenian Dances Part 2". Very fun tuba part, I'd say. Eric Whitacre's "October" is also really pretty.
