I did...with Pioneer D&BC...in South Side Chicago. Oh, the things I saw...
First thing I saw: Person dressed normally, but with a hoodie saying "Irish", and she did a type of air punch, while saying "I-rish! I-rish"
Next: A guy with a mustache dyed Green
After that: A guy with a green dress shirt, and a lime green pinstriped suit.
The most hippocritical billboard? It was asking for car donations, and was for some association for the blind.

Reminds me of when I first drove my wife's Civic (recently traded; she hated it). There were different patterns of dots on the steering wheel for each cruise control button. I immediately thought, "That's a good idea - Braille, to help blind drivers find the correct buttons." Then a few minutes later it finally hit me.

No marching for us unless we tow a generator to run the p.a. system.
There is a St. Patties Day gig at an Irish pub that will serve green beer.

I'm usually on the Shrine band trailer with souzy up at the engineering school U of Mo Rolla, but I have a conflict with an all day training seminar @#$%^&.

I clicked the wrong tick, I should have clicked not available instead of just no.

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Just be sure you keep your priorities in order, and the dropping will work itself out.

1. Guinness
2. Euphonium
3. March

Not marching; but we have no St.Pat's Parades. I am driving the equipment truck for my buddy who is in the pipe band, and will be hauling assorted drums, pipes and gear from gig to gig instead of my sousie or tuba.

No, we just get invited every year, and we go. Great crowd. They cheer loudly when we play, "In Heaven There Is No Beer." Then we go out to the local Shrine Club and have a great feast of all the traditional fare. I'm really going to miss going this year, because it is the centennial celebration of the campus. It will probably be flowing down the streets, if you know what I mean!

That's what I would require. I have no other reason to want to march.

Notice who I was quoting. I seriously, doubt that serious musician has received any serious remuneration. Except -- he may have been offered a serious waiver of tuition for marching in his college marching band. I'm sure, he was much too serious to accept that. Yes, I'm serious.

Let's see, not being a "professional" musician at the present time: free ride up & back, including cartage for the souzy, sit on a flatbed trailer to play instead of actually marching, call it off if it's too cold, lots of free food, good beverages and company, and a good long day out of the house -- good pay to me.

Sousaphone + flat-bed truck + pot hole = no front teeth

That's what I heard...but it seems a little odd. I guess it just struck me as funny.

And hey, anyone can drive, but it's a different story if they're any good, and/or are legal.
