Solo Mouthpiece
Solo Mouthpiece
I'm looking for a nice solo mouthpiece for my YCB 822. I'm really looking for any recomendations or words of wisdom. Just so you know, I play on a helleberg II and I'm working on the Vaughn Williams concerto. I'm finding the high register a bit tough. Any thoughts would help.

The Schilke Helleberg II F is a good complement to the Helleberg II. Same rim, different cup.....makes it a smooth transition between tubas.

I have every intention of trying as many mouthpieces as possible, but I'm trying to get an idea of what works for other people. For instance, someone posted something about using a G and W Churada on a 6/4 tuba. I personally would have assumed that would be far to small. I just need a good place to start.
