I believe the book was pulled from publication following John's passing.
There are two versions,
1: Jersey music; 1st ed, 1980
2: E. Williams Pub. Co; 2nd ed edition (1999)
ASIN: B0006RU4EO
You can either check with the 2nd publisher. The book deals with tuba/low brass playing from the "ground up." Covering all basic aspects of playing, and moving into some advanced techniques. Its essentially a short and sweet version of how John handled his lessons. I've read and continue to read it every now and again, and I believe it to be an essential book for anyone serious about tuba/low brass playing.
I believe I still have a copy lying around.

Greetings,
I am very happy to announce that the "Low Brass Guide" is still currently in print and available directly from E. Williams Music Publishing Company. This is the 2nd edition. It is an AMAZING text. The 2nd edition is much better than the first. John was very proud of the changes that were made. It is extremely lenghty and explains John's pedagogical approach to playing and teaching quite well.
Please contact E Williams Music Publishing by email or fax. It is $29.
