Original tenor tuba on "The Planets"

For those who will be attending this Sunday's (tomorrow afternoon's) special "Beyond the Score" performance of "The Planets" with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra at 3 PM, be sure to attend the reception in the Ballroom (on-site at Symphony Center) aftewards as Michael Mulcahy will have the original tenor tuba which premiered that piece in England available for close viewing. The instrument will perform musical examples in the demonstration portion of the performance that afternoon. For all those who managed to get tickets for this performance, do enjoy yourselves. makes sense to me. That series must be a non-typical concert, rather a talk-and-play. The original tenor tuba will be used during the performance, and will be on display at the reception following.

I have no knowledge of it aside from the OP, but it seems straighforward.

Beyond the Score concerts consist of two parts. The first half is a rather in depth multimedia presentation of the context of the piece - the composer's thoughts and structures, historical context, etc. Where there is a need to illustrate a particular theme, the CSO provides live examples. After intermission there is a full performance of the selected work.

Yesterday's presentation on Holst's The Planets featured Charles Dutoit conducting the CSO, Gerard McBurney, the driving force behind BTS, as narrator and an excellent actor portraying Gustav Holst. The 2008=2009 series will include Mussorgsky's Pictures, Sibelius's 5th Symphony and Dvorak's New World

Anyone have any pictures of the Tenor Tuba from this performance? I'm doing some research on "Tenor Tubas" and can't seem to locate any pictures on-line. I have not yet tried to contact the CSO archives, but that is my next step.
