Big Rudy in an a tiny group

Post by pwhitaker »

A recent track from our trio. I'm using a pre-Bayreuth 5/4 Rudy BBb with a very large/deep titanium mpc.

Very nice playing! Just out of curiosity, have you tried going the other direction with your mouthpiece and using something that's not so deep? I wonder what an LM-10 would sound like on your horn, or something along those lines. With something as enormous as your Rudy, I'd imagine you have plenty of bacon fat to spare, and a shallower piece might liven up the sound/articulations a bit.

As always, just my $.02, your mileage may vary...
