recording stuff

Post by tubaguy9 »

Hey all,

I'm working on a solo(Stuff by Grant), and right now, I'm about 2 weeks from the competition, but what I'd like to know, is if any of you would like to give advice on what to work on if I let you hear what it sounds like now. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Long answer:

Do I need any qualifications to offer my advice? If so, what are they? Will you be screening potential advisers by resume, reputation, or position? If you like my advice, is there some potential for a longer critique-based relationship from which we can both benefit emotionally, spiritually, and monetarily? Is the competition you speak of against pianists or string players? Because, if so, I will surely tell you to stop what you are doing now and save the stress of a entering a fight you can almost surely not win. Have you actually recorded the Grant piece in question, or are you waiting for the right set of ears to come along before you do?

Short answer:

Certainly...give a link and I'll tell you what I think.

Just post to this thread...I'm working on a recording that best represents how I play it.
