Quintet graduation marches - pomp and circumstance, etc.

Post by kontrabass »

Hey folks,
Can anyone recommend some good quintet arrangements of

Pomp and Circumstance no. 3 - Edward Elgar (I think it's number 3 - you know, the one with that slow 'graduation' tune in the middle that you loop for 10 minutes)

Procession of the Nobles - Rimsky-Korsakov

Thanks!

Find the 'Junior Just Brass' edition JJB No. 18, arranged by Roger Harvey. I have used it MANY times--more than I'd like to admit in public.

P&C #1- "The Land of Hope and Glory" is the tradional graduation march, but #3 works, too.

Thanks - ordered the latter (Nobles) from Presser, looked pretty good.

I found a piano reduction of P&C number 1 and will do the dirty work myself.

Has anybody ever come across a quintet version of Walton's Crown Imperial march? That would fit the bill nicely for a graduation, but I've never seen an arrangement for brass quintet.
