I don't know if this has made it here before but it's worth a look:

We can only hope one day, to be as in touch as this man is, to our own inner tuba.
We pronounce it Guf Coast

Re: innertuba!
Very cool.I was attending a family function Sat. night and many of my little 2nd cousins were there. All girls 3-12 yrs old(6 or so kids).I had my tuba with me for a quintet gig the next day(actually had both tubas with).I had promised my little 3 year old niece I would play for her,so I just decided to play for the whole family.I played the theme and 1st variation of All those endearing young charms which I'm preparing to play with a middle school band this week and I also played the telemann flute sonata I got from Russ Dickman's site(bass clef brass).I think he's removed it now,but it's a cool little solo. The kids were absolutely enthralled.I told them a little about the pieces and the tuba, they were very interested. Then I showed them how to buzz and lined them up for a quick toot each.Boy,what fun for all! So,innertuba has taken this concept and gone nationwide with it.Sir,I salute you!

If fuel prices continue to rise at the present rate, we will soon all have to do that

That's pretty groovy. I've been thinking about how to modify the kid trailer we have for tuba hauling around town, but it won't be as fancy a ride as that one....

Looks kind of like a 'green' hearse for midgets...

I read the Inner Game of Music a while ago, and it really helped with my approach to music, perhaps he has discovered the inner game of the tuba
