Are the orchestral parts available for the John Williams?

Post by Tubadork »

hey
I can't seem to find where to get the parts for the JW concerto.
I heard that they got pulled by the publisher? Any details

I'm also looking into how to get the parts for :

The Legen of Heimdall - Raum
Landscape for tuba and strings - Lundquist

any help would be great,
thanks,
Bill

From the Hal Leonard FAQ http://www.lucksmusic.com/experts/halleonard.html" target="_blank

...Literally the first question on the page.

Question:
Hello! I am looking for a full score of John Williams Tuba Concerto! Is it available on hire or as rental material?

Answer: We only have the tuba concerto with reduced piano accompaniment. We do not have the individual conductor's score or full orchestration available.

The orchestral parts may be available for rental through Warner Brother Print. You may wish to check with them. http://www.warnerbrospublications.com" target="_blank

Hal Leonard Corporation

This link should take you where you need to go for the Lundquist. Have fun with that piece! It is a beast, but sure pays off when you present a good performance of it!

I tried this once, i was told that the parts are for rental only, you had to supply a letterhead from a university/major ensemble etc.
