Conn 1 mouthpiece
I'm looking for one of these but they seem to be as rare as a hen's tooth. If anyone has one that they would like to get rid of.. I'll buy it! If I'm correct, the Conn 1 is bigger than the Conn 2 and 3, right?

Re: Conn 1 mouthpiece
I'm glad that chart was posted. Look especially at the throat on the Conn 1. I don't have the breath control or embouchure control for a throat that large.
As an alternative that is in the ballpark, but imminently more playable, how about a Stofer Geib?

Yes thanks for the chart, and I'm still very interested in owning a Conn 1. I love a huge sound on the low end. If anyone has one just laying around somewhere I'd be glad to buy it from you. Thanks

Re: Conn 1 mouthpiece
Seeing the specs on the Conn1 above, I have to wonder how the sound compares with the Miraphone TU41 which also has a 9mm throat.

Re: Conn 1 mouthpiece
A Marcinkiewicz H1 might be a practical alternative, with similar design in the rim and cup. It appears to be a little wider, 33.6 mm as he measures it, and the throat is `only' 8.33 mm, but seriously, this is not going to get in the way of that huge sound on the low end. If you the H1 works for you, you can also try his shallower H3 for a livelier sound with the same rim & throat.TUbajohn20J wrote:Yes thanks for the chart, and I'm still very interested in owning a Conn 1.
