Tuba rests (while playing)

Every time this topic comes up--quite regularly--I recommend the same product: the Baltimore Brass stand. Simply put, it's built like a tank. The legs lie almost flat to the floor so legroom is not affected, it folds up in 5 seconds, weighs 5 lbs., adjusts for just about any height player, keeps the tuba close to the body, and there are no gizmos to lose. Better [and cheaper] than the K&M, which is a nice stand, too.The BB stand is designed by the owner, David Fedderley, tubist with the Baltimore Symphony.

BBC Tuba Rest is the best tuba stand on the market.

However, I'm not sure the stand will get low enough for children. K&M does make a tuba stand that is built for students and it's very similar to the BBC Tuba Rest - it's black and is not the same as the other silver K&M stands.
