I had the King version of this horn. I sold it to a middle school arts group and I hope it is still alive. The man I actually sold it to is a tuba professor at a local college and I heard him put it through its' paces for about a half hour before purchase. He was able to move around at will- both loud and soft.

I liked the sound and kind of wish I still had it. I found I like the toploader valves and, if I *ever* get a new-from-the-factory horn, I am going to consider one with toploaders. The MW HoJo looks good.

I hope it holds up well. In 1990 my high school received a pair of these under the Accord name. They were junk from day one. I was constantly having to have the the third valve bracing fixed not to mention that it stored large amounts water in the the third valve that would not come out unless you removed the valve completely.

Glad that amateur for once was spelled right on TubeNet. With the usual spelling here the header would have been close to A Mature dorn (at least with my reading troubles), and who would have wanted x-rated photos of the OP? (OK, neither Pachy, Schleppy, nor I would have been any more attractive).

What makes the Blessing stay less than a blessing? Are the flanges too small? Is the stay too easily disconnected from the flange?

It would have added to the costs, but if the 1st or 3rd slide had been fitted with a slide stop and some spring arrangement to bring it back up automatically, it could have provide rather precise tuning in the low range also. But then it might have appealed more to a rather old than to a rather young player.
