I think it would be a great idea. We should ask the government to lower gas prices so that we can all attend the big symphony auditions! I don't think it is uncommon for a symphony to not accept someone unless they are absolutely sure they want them.tubashaman wrote:Didn't something happen in Chicago in the early 90s, they didn't chose a winner but the director liked Maestro Porkony and how he played with the orchestra.
Did any big names try out that are currently professionals in the tuba field. I know of a couple people who were going to try out, but because of gas prices and being busy and other random stuff they couldn't try out,,,,maybe cheaper gas will help that.
