I am a lifelong a NL fan. First the Cardinals and later the Braves. I have never had even a passing interest in an AL team except maybe the Red Sox, a little. This Rays team, though, reminds me a lot of the '91 Braves. I found myself pulling for them last night. I may have to break with tradition and root for them against all things Philly, the only exceptions being the Phanatic and the Orchestra. After all there is still the matter of THAT LINE. You know, history, tradition, roots and such.

I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.
Only got to see innings 3 through 7. Got in late from a rehearsal and went to bed when it was clear Philly was going to the bullpen, turn out the lights the party's over. I did see the phantom called third strike on Longoria and the missed interference call on Burrell's swinging bunt. I thought maybe the home plate umpire had a worse night than any of the players. If the Rays don't right the ship tonight they are in a world of hurt.

Maybe not. Here we go to Philly. I don't think the Rays can win 2 out of 3 in Philly, but 1 out of 3? Yeah. They can do that. Of course if Philly can't get the bat on the ball with a runner at third and less than two outs, it's going to be a short series. I'll go out on a limb and say Tampa in 7.

0 for 26 with men in scoring position......
They are driving me nuts!!!! I think they brough the wrong bats to Florida. Hopefully at home they will not use the bats with holes in them......

They won 2 out of 3 in Boston, and the Red Sox are virtually unbeatable at home. Why not 2 out of 3 in Philly??
Couldn't stay up last night to watch it after the rain delay. I had a 7AM call this morning. I'm glad I didn't. I hate walk off wins for the other team. I have definitely defected to the AL.

Wasn't that incredible?!?!?!? I couldn't believe it. If you wrote that in a movie no one would ever believe it. No willing suspension of disbelief needed!

Goin' to bed. I can't stand to watch baseball in that kind of weather, not even from the warmth of my den. The Rays haven't played well enough to win this thing, but as a team they have had a better series than the umps. Worst I've ever seen out of what is supposed to be the cream of the crop. One bad call after another. Too bad.
