Gillingham Euphonium Concerto Information...

Post by jasondham »

Greetings tubenetters!!!

Just wanted to let you all know about the newest euphonium concerto out there, a 15 minute concerto for euphonium and wind band, titled "Summer of 2008", composed by Dr. David Gillingham. The work will be premiered tomorrow night, here in Bloomington, Illinois, at 8:00pm. I'll be performing it with the Illinois State University Wind Symphony, under the direction of Dr. Steve Steele.

A CD recording will follow of the work, to be released in 2009. Look for a future thread on when and where you can get this recording, which will also contain David Maslanka's Symphony No. 8 as well as Kim Archer's Symphony No. 3.
