I played such a version a couple of weeks ago in a brass quintet. Great arrangement. Great palette of tone colors. Great range of emotion. I don't think the audience got it.

That is precisely why I am so delighted to be an amateur musician. I play only what I choose to like. The audience, if there even is one, has to admit they got more than they paid for regardless of their acceptance of my selections or performance. I really do have a better attitude than this, but you have to look hard to find it.
I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.

If it's all the same, I really had fun with the arrangement I played as well.

Well... just for fun I made an arrangement for a tuba quartet.

I played it (badly, I know  ) with my PT 16. All parts.

The low chords are very hard to tune...

what do you think?
