I'm just being curious here, but how do you know that it is not the Bb version of this horn?

I've never seen one of these (any of the 621 tubas) in silver-plate. The website says that they are available in "-S" models. How common are the silver-plated horns to the lacquered horns?

The music store here in Eugene now has a YBB 621S for sale. I got to spend about an hour playing it a month ago. Sweet horn!
