I hear that the Badger State Repair & Case Company in Elkhorn, WI offers a good course. As a tech (college trained) I can tell you that schooling won't teach you everything. You might want to find a tech near you to show you the ropes. Nothing is better than life experience in this case. Good luck!

This came up with another user last week. There have been some really good discussions about this topic in the year or so I've been on TubeNet. The consensus of opinion seemed to be that school alone might not be enough training and that some apprentice work might be necessary. Search is your friend.

If I were to go into the field, I would PM Dan Oberloh who I recently found out posts on here.. find out what he did... whatever school/ experience he did... worked to the utmost.
