New Tuba Arrived

Post by Kory101 »

Mr. Purolator made me a very happy man today and delivered my HB-50! I have to say that after only playing this horn for a few hours today I am simply in love. The sound leaps right out of the horn and is so big and fat but warm and sweet. more to come...

Congrats! Living here in tuba wasteland, so having also purchased the Besson and the 186 overland, I share your excitement as when I got mine. As I recall, the emotions were not just joy of finally receiving and playing the instruments, but the relief of anxiety of the perils of overland delivery as well and the relief of "OMG -- what have I done?!" if the tuba hadn't worked out. As with you, fortunately, both my tubas were packed well and made their respective trips just fine, and play great for me. The boxes were so sturdy that I saved them and later used one with the peanuts to ship a 1936 Gibson L-00 guitar to a collector in New York, and he also said the guitar arrived safely.
