i still have my old nokia 6010 that, other than making phone calls, can also double as a great paper weight!
But it has a 5-6 day battery (used to be 7) and has the best reception of any phone in my family's usage.

Ditto on the Nokia 6085.bloke wrote:I don't text on my phone. I don't look at web-dorn on my phone. I don't instant-message on my phone. I don't email on my phone. I don't play video games on my phone. I don't take pictures with my phone. It (supposedly) will do some of that crap, but...
I JUST WANT A PHONE THAT CAN PULL IN A MARGINAL SIGNAL AND SEND/RECEIVE CALLS.
To that end, the Nokia 6085 kicks @$$.
My usage "requirements" are the same as yours...I don't text (at all...seriously!), surf the internet, email, or take photos with my phone. I just wanted something that worked well AS A PHONE and got service in the places I actually spent my time.
I'm happy with my 6085.
