Please come and join Ling Yu Hsiao, piano and myself as we give tribute to the woman that changed my life forever.
As many of you know, Gretchen's recital was titled: "The Modern Horn" and featured music written for the French Horn in the last 50 years. I have followed a similar topic for my recital.
The pieces I am performing are:
Landscape by Torbjorn Lundquist (1978)
Three Furies by James Grant (1993)
Song for Carol by Alec Wilder (1968)
Intermission
Two World Premieres Commissioned by me in memory of Gretchen Snedeker
Elegy for Tuba and Piano (2009) by Andrew McManus
Three Reflections for Gretchen (2009) by James Woodward
The Woodward will be soon available for purchase through Cimarron Music.
I hope to see many of you here! There will be a reception afterwards!

your recital title should be...The Modern Tuba - Music Written for the Tuba that I haven't played yet.
What it must be like to limit musical selection to within 50 years of now...pretty much includes it all
