Music for new brass quintet

Post by Wyvern »

I am just in the process of starting up a new brass quintet. I have so far found the other four musicians, but need to arrange rehearsals and get things underway.

All the group are of semi-pro standard. The music needs to be interesting to play, but not over demanding before we get used to playing together as a quintet. However, I don't want to spend a fortune on music until paid gigs start coming in.

So what music would you recommend for starting up the quintet (on paper, or downloadable)?

Thanks in advance!

Believe it or not, there are a few websites that offer some very nice quintet arrangements for FREE!! Here are a few of my favorites:

Thanks to Jay, Jean-Francois and Dave for their good work!!!!

Thanks Craig! What is amazing is that I know Dave Taylor (the 3rd link) - have played with him a few times, but did not know about his quintet arrangements
