Is a straight leadpipe for this horn available somewhere (keeping in mind that I think ALL of them had the circular leadpipe with the tuning slide)?

Yes. The person who is going to do all of these modifications for you can either make one or get a generic one from a catalog and bend it to fit.

Seems like modifications like you want to have done are only worthwhile if you have the skills to do it all yourself. The value of the horn is not going to go up with the changes and, depending on the buyer, the value may go down because the horn is not original any more. Someone who has skills can modify horns to their hearts content because its their own time and money involved. I shudder to think of the cost of the Blokeophone if I were to contract something like that to be built.

IMHO, you would be better off having the horn brought up to spec if it isn't and playing it as is. Your needs and wants in a horn seem to have the attention span of a flea and there is no way you could get your money even close to back when you inevitably change horns.
