I don't think three-or-four of these will be out of line, either.

Re: PICK OUT A SHIRT FOR MY GIG !!!
Sorry for adding a response that might be a bit too serious, but here goes . . .
I think the purple shirt is a bad idea because the tuba has too much purple and other dark colors, and the shirt will be *close* but NOT a match, which I think would look wrong.
With the gold shirt and purple tie (less purple fabric), I think that's less of an issue. (My vote was gold shirt and purple tie.)
Also - you've used purple as an accent color on the tuba, so it should also be an accent (not predominant) color in the clothes.
If you post photos of all combinations after you get the shirts and ties, I'd be curious to see if I'm correct on this.

All the choices are too tame for that sousy. Here's what you should wear.

You have to do something about that mike rig. If nothing else a fabric sleeve for each of the 3 stays. I going far out turn it into a Yamaha logo.

Any way to give the three "arms" the same/similar finish as the the horn?
...but then (when I put that mic rig back on my silver helicon) its going to make the helicon look like some sort of "time machine" or something...

Wrap the arms of the thing in colored paper?

Re: PICK OUT A SHIRT FOR MY GIG !!!
I mentioned sleeves out of a fabric, which could be made in any disgusting, and hence well matching, colour. Or the rig could be wrapped in the element still missing from the totally pimped outfit: fur! Any pink poodle in the neighbourhood should watch out from now.Tuba Guy wrote:Wrap the arms of the thing in colored paper?
I am sure bloke could have his WW-tech do the stitching. A zipper on the rear would allow for fast shifts.

Perhaps you may want to revisit the plan for plain ol' black shoes, and go similar to what is in the photo...bloke wrote:Klaus,
That may possibly be the only outfit/instrument/player combo that could effectively distract from what I'll be doing on stage in New Orleans on May 3rd.
