Re: Update Update
CV (constant velocity) joint boot. If it was missing...wow. The grease would be completely gone and dirt would have easy access to the joint. In that case your CV joint is smoked and would indeed affect the driving. It should have been making a tremendous "clicking" sound whenever you made a left turn.tubashaman2 wrote:Update: I got my struts replaced at a garage, which was costly. However, they noticed the CVR (I think it was) shoe on the right side was missing and was affecting the driving.
Did they replace your passenger side CV shaft and fix the problem?

Re: Update Update
That's a good thing...glad they took the time to notice the problem and fix it. Did the $300 include the struts, or was it $300 extra to put in a CV shaft (which sounds a bit high)?tubashaman2 wrote:Todd, the cars riding alot better, and it was mainly affecting me when I made right turns, but I could feel what they were talking about what it was caused. That was $300 I didn't have.....but its fixed

Re: Update Update
There was a Seattle band that came out of the gate at the same time as Nirvana, Soundgarden, Mudhoney, etc. that was named Cat Butt as in "What's the one part of a cat you don't want to eat? The butt." Hence, Cat Butt. They never made it really big but it wasn't from a lack of trying.Kevin Hendrick wrote:Actually, I've wanted one of those (a "cat-@$$-trophy") for years! UPDATE:
First the first time in the history of TubeNet a thread has gotten off topic. This has occurred in the topic: "More Mention of Connie Weldon."
This reporter is left to worry what will come of this. Perhaps more on this, later.
