Is it just me or does this seem like a bit too expensive for a 3 valve Eb tuba?

Just calling it a collector's item doesn't make it one. I'm sure that it is in good shape for what it is and that it plays relatively well, but $3500 for a 3 valve Eb just seems nuts to me.

That seller is an overhaul shop in Wisconsin. They tend to list things a bit higher than I think they may be worth. But what do I know?!Lew wrote:Is it just me or does this seem like a bit too expensive for a 3 valve Eb tuba?

This thing has been listed many times over the last 4-5 months. I understand there was some kind of issue with the owner and Ed's trying to get his money out of the repair but that's gossip.

More than I would pay for a 3-banger, but from what I hear he usually does a good job on the repairs. And hey, its really shiny!

Re: Expensive Eb tuba
Well in this current economy he is not going to get that kind of money so he can: a) hope some sucker will buy it; b) knock off at least $1200 and try selling it again; c) hold onto it.
WAY overpriced but it does look GOOD.

That's funny, I was thinking it's a shame his pictures don't make it look as good as it could.
They're all right in most respects, but as usual the color is off, too yellow.
