If you have access to a good narrator, the Poulenc/Francaix Story of Babar is great. Also, Revueltas wrote some fantastic chamber works. Especially Homenaje a Federico Garcia Lorca and Scenes from Childhood.

Clarification request: Are you looking for
1. Tuba solo works with chamber orchestra accompaniment; or
2. Good chamber works with a decent tuba part.

The Koestier Concertino and Jan Bach Suite for Tuba and Strings are both written for tuba and string chamber group.

And pretty much ANY standard tuba concerto - Gregson, Vaughan Williams, John Williams, Broughton, Woodward, etc. Some have band accompaniment, others orchestra.

I have two pieces to recommend:

"Concertino for Tuba and String Orchestra" - Artuhr Frackenpohl, Published by Robert King Music and available in the Robert King catalog.

"Fantasy for Tuba and Strings" - Jan Krzywicki, available through the Fleischer Collection of the Philadelphia Free Library or by contacting Jan Krzywicki. I can forward your inquiry to Jan if you send me a private E-Mail at hbcrandy@hotmail.com" target="_blank" target="_blank.
