I am pretty happy with the gear I currently have. I have not found anything I would trade my CC for.

As with all dreams of this ilk, the subject of the dream keeps having to change for the dream to have its effect.

I can't think of instruments I'd rather have than mine. But I can think of a few I'd like to have in addition to mine. How's that for being greedy?

One of my other dream horns is the 4 valve version of the Conn 22J. Not sure of the model #, but I have only seen a picture of ONE!

I am fortunate, my dream tubas are the ones that I assembled over years

1: Alexander 163 CC, gold brass, 4 valves (since 1975) - all
purpose and for the big stuff - commanding sound, this is
the tuba that I used and still use most, I have not found
a tuba that I like better, Bach 7 mouthpiece

2: Meinl Weston 32 (since 1986) - all purpose and for quintet
and solo - sweet and beautiful sound, agile response, the
fifth valve is nice to have, Bach 7 or Bach 18 mouthpiece

3: York Monster E flat - it is nice to have a bass tuba
sometimes - very beautiful sound, very agile response,
this is the tuba that I used least because I am really more
of a contrabass tuba player (since 1978) Bach 25 or
Bach 32 E mouthpiece

I like them, they work, they are paid for, I am used to them, I have a lot of good memories playing these tubas and I have not played for pay in about six years.

An Alexander F would be nice as an addition to my stable, but that is not in my future (however, you did say dream)

best,
Mark

Okay, dream horns . . . ones I'll definitely never afford without a big lottery win:

BBb: Rudy Meinl Bayreuth, Willson 3100 (I was very impressed by the one I tried at NABBA)
CC: small horn, like Meinl-Weston 32
Eb: Besson 981 or clone (I was impressed by the Yamaha, B&S, and Miraphone copies)
F: Yamaha YFB-822, Rudolph Meinl 6/4, Meinl-Weston 46SLZ
vintage Conn 88H trombone
Meinl-Weston 771 euphonium
JP/Sterling 377 compensating Eb; Warburton "The Grail" T.G.4, RM-9 7.8, Yamaha 66D4; for sale > 1914 Conn Monster Eb (my avatar), ca. 1905 Fillmore Bros 1/4-size Eb, Bach 42B trombone

Thor
Petruska
and while I'm at it how about a Yamayork. As a horn player I loved the Yamaha Custom series horns, so I see no reason to doubt the custom tubas would be awesome also.
