I used a G&W Bayamo, but wouldn't use it again unless all I was doing is low, loud excerpts. The 1291 has pretty wide 'slots', and plays VERY open. The lower register is really nice, so perhaps a 'specific' smaller mouthpiece (I have no idea what) would 'tighten up' the mid and upper registers and still let the low stuff 'flow out' naturally.
I'll step out of the way now and let those who have found the right horn/mpc combo chime in.
