Derek Fenstermacher- Master's Recital

Post by Tuboxchef »

Hello! I will be performing my Master's tuba recital at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music on Thursday, June 4th at 5 p.m. in Watson Recital Hall.

I will be presenting an exciting and challenging program of (mostly) contemporary music.

Program:
Skirmish and Dance- Reynolds

Être Ou Ne Pas Être (To Be or Not to Be)- Tomasi

Tuba Concerto- Szentpali

Nocturno- F. Strauss

The Liberation of Sisyphus (with piano)- Stevens

I will be joined by 3 fantastic trombone colleagues and one awesome accompanist.

The program is about an hour long.

If you are interested in attending, directions to CCM can be found at:
http://www.ccm.uc.edu/events/directions.aspx" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank
Watson recital hall is located on the P1 level of the CCM parking garage.

Thanks for viewing! I hope some of you can make it!

Derek,

For those of us who live too far to attend, I hope that you can post the audio of your recital.

Good luck!

Thanks for the reminder Steve! I forgot to mention in my first post that for those who can't attend, I will be eventually posting the recital onto Youtube too!

No, I'm not graduating...I still have one more year. I had the option of doing my degree recital whenever I wanted during the two-year program, so I decided to go ahead and get it done now, so I won't have to worry about it next year!

For those interested, I have uploaded the first video of music from my Master's recital.

Sorry for the delay...the live video/audio from my recital was screwed up (which is funny because I recorded it myself  ), so I ended up re-recording everything.

Be on the lookout for more videos to be uploaded soon!

Enjoy!

So as to not clutter up the site with double posts, check for further video updates in the "Clipart" section.

Hope you enjoy it!
