Rescued from the dumpster at an American Legion Hall , this old sousaphone is only marker " Century " on the back of the detachable bell . Silver plate on top of brass, bell face in gold . Maybe an old Keefer with a " Century " stencil " ? Any ideas ?http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa18 ... one011.jpg[/img]

Re: What IS This Eb Sousaphone ????
This Eb sousaphone in question is close to the Conn 26K pattern but obviously of a much smaller bore where the real tubing enters the main circle at the joint with the fake tubing for the shoulder support.
My galleries have an entry of a 20th Century Eb sousaphone, which clearly is European made, so no help from there.
The 1923 Keefer Eb sousaphone represented in my galleries is very far from the pattern of the sousaphone discussed here. I will add 3 photos.
